What's in it for you?
Telling your brand's story is one of the coolest parts of my job. I have found that many business owners booking their first ( or 8th!) branding session can be a bit lost when it comes to what they can expect to happen and what exactly they get out of it. So, while all photographers work a little differently, this is the advice I give my clients our first time working together.
Have a goal
Branding sessions, while fun, should be well planned out. This is a business investment and what we produce together will be representing your company. Before you or your product ever step in front of my camera, we will chat about why you want this session and what it can do for your brand. I'll answer all of your questions and you'll tell me the vibe you're going for. Together, we'll plan everything; location, time of day, wardrobe... anything to get exactly what we are shooting for, pun intended.
Things to think about...
What are we shooting?
Are we photographing new product? Fresh headshots? An updated space? Maybe a little bit of everything?
Knowing exactly what you want in front of my camera can help get the creative juices flowing, allowing me to help plan a fun and personalized branding session for you.
Where is it going?
In addition to knowing what we are shooting, it's helpful to know what you plan to do with the content.
If I am aware of how you're going to use the content we produce, our time together is much more productive. You know, more bang for your $$$...
A little more on that...
Each form of marketing; websites, social media, posters, email newsletters, all perform best with particular photo orientations and file sizes. So, this information is pretty important to ensure the most useful content comes from our session.
Don't forget the fun!
The session should be well planned, but we're going to have fun with it. Play your favorite music, bring some champagne, wear something cute! If we are doing headshots, bring your favorite accessories along... This is the time to add all the personality that sets your brand apart.
