I have known Brad since high school and we also happened to work together for a couple years. That’s when first I heard about Roxanne, the two were not together at the time, but I still sang “Roxanne” to him the few times she came up in conversation. Our friendship was built on break room humor, and an occasional beer after work, so it was all in good fun.

Fast-forward a few years, and I saw that they had reunited (thanks for always updating me on life, Facebook) and that he had proposed! Brad called to chat about wedding photography and I gladly accepted the opportunity to capture this fairy-tale love story! The three of us met for coffee, signed contracts and scheduled their engagement session.

You can see those photos here.

Then, Covid-19 happened. Then, date changes... then venue changes... then, I assured them that I was ready to capture their day whenever and wherever it took place.

Luckily, it wasn't too much longer before these two got to say "We do!" and it was definitely worth the wait, if you ask me!

They decided on a backyard ceremony & reception with their closest friends and family and it couldn’t have been a more perfect evening. It's amazing what florals can do to a space and Beard and Bloom DID NOT disappoint! The backdrop for their ceremony was so dreamy, and the bouquets and boutonnieres were stunning as well!

The two shared their written vows, which I absolutely love! When I hear that my couples have written their own vows I actually do a little happy dance in my head. It’s such a beautiful gesture and I hope they all have a copy tucked away or displayed somewhere in their bedrooms forever!

Besides the love that was obvious between Brad & Roxanne, their wedding party was also full of love. Family and life-long friends supported the bride and groom throughout the day and you couldn't help but feel just how important these people were to each other.

Their reception was full with yummy food, dancing, and cake from Nothing Bundt Cake. (Which I had for the first time that night... O.M.G. SO good!)

We ended the night with a sparkler send off and the newlyweds were on their way to live happily ever after!
